Jonathan received his Permobil in June, and absolutely loves it. It’s given him a sense of independence and freedom beyond a basic chair. With an estimated price tag of around $60,000, it is fully loaded and will grow with him as he becomes an adult. His powerchair features:

Insurance folks live in their own world. This self-discovery kind of sucks. Insurance is a business first and foremost, our well-being is not always a priority unfortunately. The length of process, protocols, and hoops that needs to be jumped through is atrocious. The average time frame for insurance approval, build, and delivery could take up to 18 months if not longer. At this moment in time I was told people are having a hard time getting approvals under a year for Jonathan’s powerchair. After getting an approval with in 5 months for his chair and receiving it within 7 months, I count myself blessed. I’m reminded that only God is in control of the situation; He bypasses any limitation or “hard place-and-a-rock.” We can’t forget our faith in God is believing in the possible for anything to happen. Try God!
